GenPro has released its 3rd ESG Report – proof of its relentless commitment to sustainability. It’s a clear look at its impact and the progress driving lasting value for all stakeholders.
This year’s edition reflects continued adherence to the updated GRI Universal Standards and serves as a transparent record of progress. It captures not only achievements but also ambitions — positioning GenPro as an agent of change in the way maritime procurement influences environmental stewardship and social accountability.
The 2024 report demonstrates measurable year-on-year improvements in areas such as stakeholder engagement and resource efficiency. It also highlights the inclusion of all contracted suppliers in a biennial Compliance & Sustainability audit cycle. Enhanced graphics bring clarity to complex data.
In 2024, GenPro had agreements in place with over 300 suppliers within the maritime industry. As a maritime procurement organisation, GenPro’s ESG impact is amplified through the behaviour and practices of its supplier network. By implementing rigorous compliance and ESG benchmarking, the company ensures supplier performance through audits, readiness scoring, and sustainability reporting.
The company aims to make procurement more sustainable, whilst helping its members reduce vessel operating costs, and deliver tangible value to vessel owners through transparent, auditable volume-based discounts.
GenPro believes that by facilitating open, cross-industry dialogue, it can help build a more sustainable and equitable future for maritime commerce.
Maria Theodosiou, Managing Director of GenPro, comments: “Our hope is that the transparency and accountability reflected in this report not only inform but inspire: that they encourage others across the sector to embrace ESG performance as a defining measure of operational excellence.”
